I graduated from Saint Louis University in May 2015. I have a bachelor's degree in biochemistry with a French minor. I am now at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, studying chemistry for my master's degree, which will mostly focus on biochemistry.I have been tutoring for about four years as a volunteer through the Urban Future program. While tutoring at the program, I worked on strengthening math skills for students in middle school who had been posting scores that were below their grade level. I enjoyed the experience, as I saw their grades improve, and felt that the tutoring I provided made a difference in their lives. I tutor arithmetic, biology, elementary school math, life science, middle school math, and pre-algebra.The subjects that I favor most as a tutor are math and science. That's because I believe both seem difficult and I can empathize with students when they get frustrated. My patience for those who may struggle or become frustrated is one of my greatest attributes as a tutor. I will try other methods and ways to explain complex topics to those students who may be struggling with a lesson's concepts. I will do this until they understand. My passion for math and science drive me to lead my students to attain their outcomes and goals in both subjects. I like to swim, ice skate, read, and study other languages during my free time.
